As part of efforts to sensitize communities on ongoing government programs and projects in the municipality, the Hon. Kingsley Owusu Appiah, MCE of Offinso Municipal Assembly together with some Heads of Department/Units/Agencies visited Namong community. In his submission, he reiterated that despite the economic hardships, government is committed towards effective implementation of the Free SHS program, Planting for Food and Jobs, NHIS, GSFP, LEAP among others.

The Divisional Police Commander registered his displeasure about the poor state of security at Namong and warned that whoever is found guilty shall be arrested and arraigned before the District Court. The Headmistress of Namong SH/TS pleaded for development assistance from the Assembly.

The Chief of Namong expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the MCE and the community as a whole for participating in the community meeting. Some hard working natives of Namong were awarded with material prices for demonstrating exemplary leadership in communal labour.
