Ghana celebrated its 67th Independence Day with a grand celebration at Koforidua, where the National event took place. However the Offinso Municipal Assembly celebrated the event at the Christian Methodist Park at Dentin.
Themed ‘Our Democracy our Pride” the event was attended by the Chairman of the Offinso Traditional Council, Nana Dwamena Akenten the II, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Offinso Municipal Assembly, Hon Kingsley Owusu-Appiah, Member of Parliament of the Offinso South constituency, Hon. Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku. the Municipal Director of Education, Security Commanders and Heads of Departments.
After a parade inspection by the Municipal Chief Executive and his entourage, he delivered the Independence Day Speech.
A March Past Parade was then held by all participating Schools and the Security institutions within the Municipality.
