The confirmation of the Municipal Chief Executive of the Offinso Municipal Assembly was held on Wednesday, 15th May, 2025, to confirm the President’s nominee, for the position, Mr Frank Owusu Amoah. The Electra conducted by the district electoral officer. Out of the 41 honorable Assembly members who were present and voted, 39 of them voted in favour of the MCE nominee representing 95% of the total vote caste
. In his acceptance speech, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Frank Owusu Amoah thanked the president for his nomination and the Assembly for their overwhelming support and confirmation. He promised to accelerate the development agenda of the Offinso Municipality. The president of the Offinso Traditional council, Nana Dwamena Akenten III urged the assembly members to work assiduously to support the Municipal Chief Executive to achieve what he intends to bring on board as far as the development of the Municipality was concerned.
He also urged assembly members to follow the right procedure with respect to the spatial planning of the Municipality. He also urged the members and sub chiefs not to engage quack surveyors for any land demarcation exercise, but to liaise with the Traditional Council and the Spatial Planning Department. Other issues the Omanhene raised were:
• Formation of Revenue Taskforce
• Construction of a social center
• Too much expenses characterized by the celebration of one week funeral rites of family and loved ones within the municipality which needed to be looked into or curbed.
