On Tuesdays, May 20th 2025. The Offinso Municipal Assembly held its first quarter Management meeting at the office of the MCE. The meeting was led by Mrs. Edith Precious Lumorvi (Ag Municipal Coordinating Director) was to officially introduce Hon. Frank Owusu Amoah the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to the Management.
She added that the Municipal Chief Executive started his official duties on Monday 19th May. The Municipal Chief Executive is the political head of the Assembly, his duties is to ensure the implementation of government policies and initiatives. The staff are to support him to achieve his goals set for the municipality. The Municipal Coordinating Director assured the Municipal Chief Executive that management was here to support him achieve his aim. She finally congratulated and welcomed Hon. Frank Owusu Amoah to the Assembly on behalf of management and pledged her readiness to support him during his tenure of office. She however drew the attention of the Municipal Chief Executive on revenue mobilization and the need to form a revenue taskforce to boost the revenue of the Assembly.
Hon. Frank Owusu Amoah welcomed and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to members of management for organizing a successful confirmation programme.
He urged management that he was here to work together with them to achieve his mandate. He stressed that though he was a politician but he was here to work for Offinso and Ghana as a whole. He informed management that to be able to generate revenue to improve there was a need to give a facelift to our sources of revenue, example were the Newtown and Abofour Markets which needed urgent attention due to the deplorable nature of some parts of those facilities.
He indicated that he would form a revenue taskforce to mobilize revenue. He again cautioned that, the Regional Minister could pay a surprise visit to any assembly within the region and so members should hold themselves in readiness for that and always be punctual to work.
The Municipal Chief Executive requested that organizational communication channels should be properly followed and he does not expect officers to by-pass the Municipal Coordinating Director to report issues to him.
